Kemrey Heinold 2010 Immediate Past President I was born and raised in Leominster, Massachusetts. My parents soaked my brother and me with love, humor and a sense of independence. After graduating from Leominster High School in 2000 I wanted out of the snow. I trekked to Clemson University in South Carolina where I was exposed to a new culture, a great education and lots of good times. While attending school I studied Graphic Communications. I found that the technical study with an artistic twist was very stimulating. I also dabbled in Packaging Science, loved it and ended up with a minor. Along with my studies I joined TAGA (Technical Association for Graphic Arts) and held the Public Relations Chair my senior year. I always had time in my schedule for random classes like forestry and entomology just for the experience. After 2 internships in customer service, one at Vertis, Inc. in Dallas, Texas and another at Cadmus Communications in Charlotte, North Carolina, and armed with a degree, I felt that the DC metro area was ready for me. I moved to DC in June 2005, not knowing a soul, paying my own way and starting a brand new job at OmniPrint, Inc. as a sales representative. At OmniPrint I worked with a team of sales managers that worked hard to gain new business and retain our current customers. I was put solely in charge of becoming a government print vendor along with expanding some of our commercial printing endeavors. Then, I made the move to a smaller, digital environment at Select Printing, downtown in DC. I was the senior account manager. I enjoyed working with non-profit organizations, law firms, small businesses and large corporations to grow their businesses using print media. I am a self-proclaimed networker and connector. Currently I am employed by Canon Business Solutions as a Senior Account Executive for Northern Virginia. I am active member in Xplor International. As an Xplor member I have served as the Vice President of the Mid-Atlantic Region 2007 and 2008. I have also participated as the membership chair and as the vendor chair for the 2007 fall conference. The journey has been great so far and I am excited for a new year with MAR Xplor! |
